It is getting more difficult to keep your footing on the Rock during today’s cultural storms. One thing I really like about the following video is that it points out that God hasn’t changed; historic Christianity is still a stable stance, even though there are movements within the churches that are straying from the Bible and still labeling themselves as “Christian”; and, the United States was built upon thinking derived from Biblical principles. Many of us have ancestors who fled here from other countries because there was persecution against their Christian beliefs.
As we ponder our freedoms this Independence Day here in the States, I think it is good to ponder these viewpoints in the video. Ponder about the God of the Bible and the stories therein about His servants. Even though our country is peaceful in comparison to other countries, there’s still a battle happening every day in our lives. Keep the faith. May we all rely on Jesus to hold us. May God lift us in His righteous right hand. May we ever remember just Who it is we serve — the Ancient of Days, the King of Kings, the Almighty Lord of Hosts! He reigns forever!
